The X.O Fine Jewellery Story

X.O Fine Jewellery was launched in 2011 when GIA Graduate Gemologist and jewellery appraiser Ron Hanania decided to branch out into the world of jewellery design. He and his business partner Jack renovated their office together, turning their 90's style office into a beautifully stylish jewellery boutique at 601 Marsh Road NE, just outside of downtown Calgary, Alberta.

In 2021, Ron partnered with Garry McLellan, a long-time jeweller and jewellery designer with exceptional expertise in the field. With over 50 years combined experience in the jewellery industry, Ron and Garry provide exceptional service, designs, and quality products that keep our clients coming back for every special occasion and spontaneous jewellery purchase.

Here at X.O Fine Jewellery, we value supporting local designers, quality workmanship, and providing the best customer service to cater to our clients' detailed requests. We love collaborating on designs with our clients and transforming those designs into beautiful finished products that our clients are always thrilled to receive.

Garry McLellan

Owner & Designer

Garry began his career as a jewellery salesman for large, big-name jewellery retailers. He went on to start his own jewellery insurance claim company, which he sold in 2019. Garry became a jewellery designer thanks to his first-hand experience custom designing jewellery to replace lost and stolen jewellery items as part of his former jewellery claim company. Garry has since launched a new jewellery insurance company, Canadian Jewellery Claims, which he and Ron also run.
