Frequently Asked Questions

What is EMS?

EMS is the elicitation of muscle contraction using electric impulses. The impulses are generated by a device and delivered through electrodes to the skin surface above the muscles to be stimulated. The impulses cause the muscles to contract, so the result is similar to the actual movement and regular contractions of the muscles.t

What are the benefits of EMS?

Build Muscles â€“ The electrodes are strategically placed in a specially made suit, directly over each major muscle group, so all impulses reach their target, even muscles fibres that would traditionally get missed. As you move, your muscles work against their own contractions, building muscle and strength.

Improves Posture â€“ Using EMS can improve your posture. Not only are there special exercises for the back, lower back and shoulders, but electrodes built into the suit along the spinal cord strengthen rarely used muscles which  help to relieve back pain

Relieves Joint discomfort â€“ Many forms of exercise put additional pressure on the joints but with EMS the electric impulses work on the muscle directly, so there is no joint stress or additional pressure. With the help of a specialist it can be used after an injury or to relieve joint pain.

Balances out the Muscular System â€“ By targeting the appropriate muscle groups with the strategically placed electrodes in the suit, EMS can be used to strengthen muscular imbalances and underdeveloped muscles.

Improved blood circulation  â€“ Whole Body EMS training can help tone muscles, burn fat and reduce cellulite. Blood circulation in muscular and connective tissues is enhanced, which leads to firmer toned skin.

What is light therapy?

Light therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits.

The energy delivered is then used to improve cellular performance. Light therapy can be delivered through light emitting diode (LEDs) devices or cold lasers, and has a variety of applications across many medical fields.

How does light therapy work?

High intensity LEDs utilizing specific, proven wavelengths of light can trigger a natural biostimulator effect in human tissue. Research has shown that LED light therapy can increase circulation, accelerate tissue repair, kill acne bacteria, decrease inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity, decrease under eye wrinkles as well as ease muscle and joint pain, stiffness, spasm, and pain associated with arthritis.

Light therapy has been widely researched and is supported by thousands of peer-reviewed and published clinical research papers from prestigious institutions around the world.

What  is IV Drip therapy?

IV Drip treatments are known to provide the body with the essential vitamins and minerals it requires by injecting the solution directly into the bloodstream. This facilitates a very high absorption rate and, because it is fast-acting, delivers efficient results immediately after finishing the treatment.

What IV Drip treatments are offered?

There are a variety of IV treatments available to help you meet your health and wellness goals. Treatment will be selected for your specific requirement in consultation with NP and administered by a nurse.
