MARY LEE VOORT

MARY LEE VOORT

Organist

Mary Lee Voort received her early musical training in B.C, and began playing for church services and ballet classes at age 13. She attended the University of Lethbridge, where she received a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance. She has extensive experience in both the pipe organ and piano, having had positions at various churches in Lethbridge over the years. She was the accompanist for the Anne Campbell Singers, travelling with them to Europe and acting as rehearsal pianist for the massed international choir festival in Vienna, Austria. She has been the accompanist for numerous soloists and instrumentalists, school choirs, musical theatre productions, and city church choirs. Mary Lee enjoys her positions as church organist for St. Augustine's Anglican Church, accompanist for Vox Musica Community Choir, principal keyboardist with the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra, and a full teaching and accompanying schedule. One of her greatest joys, though, is being able to provide the comfort of beautiful music to families who are grieving.
