Jerri-Lynn Wilson (McNeil) of Lethbridge, AB (Vanderhoof, BC), Beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away after a hard-fought battle with COVID complications on February 22, 2024, at Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 58.
Jerri-Lynn was born in Vanderhoof on the 31st of August 1965 to Wilma and Bud McNeil. Jerri-Lynn was a natural caregiver spending most of her working life in and around healthcare. She spent many years working as an LPN at different hospitals and care facilities around British Columbia and later as an instructor at Reeves College teaching their Medical Office Assistance program. Jerri-Lynn loved spending time with family and had many anecdotes about every member of her immediate and extended family. Her fondest memories often involved sharing stories and a hot coffee with family and friends. Jerri-Lynn also had an intense love for music and would have Jack Johnson, 54-40, Shinedown, or the Bay City Rollers on as loud as she could whenever she was cooking or cleaning.
Jerri-Lynn is survived by her two sons Riley, and Kaden; sister Lois; brother Murray; and a great number of nieces and nephews.
Jerri-Lynn was predeceased by her parents Wilma and Bud; her stepfather Elmer; her sisters Linda and Louise; and brother Gerald whom she was named after.
A gentle soul
who loved to laugh
And always hugs to share
A loving heart
and twinkling eye
A friend beyond compare
A helping hand
when needed most
Sometimes a listening ear
To say goodbye
breaks my heart
Blinds my eyes with tears
But now it's time
for you to rest
As dusk gives way to dawn
We'll meet again
in tomorrow's light
In Heaven where hearts belong
