It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Daniel “Dan” Kempe, on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the age of 44 years.

Dan grew up in Grassy Lake, graduating from Chamberlain School in 1997. Spending the majority of his life in Lethbridge, he built his own home and enjoyed the short drive to Waterton, often accompanied by his dog Avy. He was always happy to spend time with family and friends over coffee or a meal.

Professionally he was a mechanic in multiple shops, earning his journeyman certificate in both automotive and heavy-duty mechanics. Notably working over 10yrs at Volker Stevin, and most recently at Western Tractor. He enjoyed many things including travel, nature hikes, water-skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding as well as painting (vehicles + canvas). 

He is survived by his parents Henry and Pearl Kempe; siblings Josh (Ranae) Kempe, Sarita (Calvin) Tams, and Gina Kempe (Sean Brayton); nephew Jeremy Kempe; nieces Bethany Kempe, Zoë Tams; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. He will be dearly missed. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, March 22, 2024, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610, 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta.
