Evelyn Marjorie Jesse was born February 11, 1943, to Carl and Freda Johnson in Orion Alberta. She was one of 11 children and 4 half-sisters.

Evelyn worked hard on the farm, helping her mom and siblings do chores, can fruits, vegetables, meats and make bread!! One of the skills moms perfected beautifully. We all looked forward to her holiday meals, turkey and all the fixings. Same dishes, same familiar comfort foods.

Mom had the greatest memory and was happy to talk about old times about how she used to sneak out at night with her ice skates, or out with her sister Lorraine to eat sardines, throwing their forks in the tree! She talked about dances and how she met dad, watching him play in the band, the fun they had going on cruises, bus tours to the casinos, playing cards with their friends, family camping and "do's" and the stories of raising 3 kids. Mom had always worked hard to keep her house in order, have the chores done, and keep dad and us kids fed with delicious German recipes.

Mom was so proud of her kids and grandkids. She loved having visits from them to talk about their daily lives, to see them grow up, and then send them on their way with care packages. She would always give before ever receiving herself and was always willing to lend a hand. She was happy with the simple things in life, spending time with dad and raising a family.

One of the last things she said was " I love my kids”. She will be missed, she was our mom and your grandma, your sister, your aunt and friend.

She is now reunited with our dad, Edwin; her father Carl and mother Freda; father & mother-in-law Emil and Katie Jesse; sisters Elizabeth (Bill Byzuk), Betty (Dennis Christopherson); infant sister Martha; sisters Lila, Hazel, Helen and Doreen; brothers Roy and Edward; and brothers in law Bill Yanke and Louie Goulet.

She is survived by her brother Fred; sisters Lorraine (Jim), Marion, Shirley, Margaret (Leroy); sister-in-law Mable; brothers & sisters in law Eugene and Mable Jesse Harold and Marlene Jesse; and so many nephews and nieces!

Mom, you worked so hard in this lifetime, now it’s your turn to Rest In Paradise, love you.

A private family Graveside Service will be held.
