JJ was born in Fernie, British Columbia on March 7th, 1973. She was the baby of the family of 5 children. She had three older Brothers, Richard, Mark and Mike that she absolutely adored and looked up to. Her big Sister Dawn or as JJ called her growing up (Dawn -Dawn) was the apple of her eye. She wanted to be with Dawn as much as she possibly could and maintained a strong Sister relationship throughout the years. She spent her early years playing in the mountains with all they had to offer and spent as much time in water as she could. Her favorite place to visit was Loon Lake, BC. at her grandparents’ cabin as this was her happy place.

She met one of her best friends, Sandra at 5 years old in Fernie at the first day of kindergarten. This “Ketchup Sister” friendship continues to stay strong to this day. Her friendship group consisting of Sandra, Lisa, Melony and Janet was something that JJ was very proud of. With the business of family life, JJ didn’t get to visit the group of girls as much as she wanted too but always knew she could count on any of them at any time if needed.

JJ had lived in a few different towns in British Columbia. Fernie, Golden for high school, Vancouver for hairdressing school and ended up in Kelowna where she worked in restaurants. It was in Kelowna that she met another one of her Best Friends, Megan. The two ladies were inseparable and could figure out life’s problems over a Sunday afternoon lunch at Earls. Megan had mentioned to JJ that she was going to move to Calgary and without hesitation JJ said, “Want a roommate?”.  Their relationship was everlasting and unbreakable. JJ had continued to work in the restaurant industry for a few years before moving to Lethbridge where she was closer to her Mum Barb, brother Mark and sister Dawn.

Once she had moved to Lethbridge, JJ continued to work at various jobs but also decided to settle in Lethbridge and buy a house. She was not satisfied with her work life and one night made a bold decision to start her own cleaning company. Integrity Cleaning was founded.

JJ quickly was able to find clients and her career took off. She was extremely proud of her company and put in countless hours to fine tune her craft. JJ has proudly grown her company and for over 17 years has a fabulous team of ladies and clients who she adores. She took pride in training and teaching all the knowledge that gained over the years and loved being on site with her staff to have a laugh, bring some coffee’s and stoke the friendships that she had with her team.

It is while cleaning houses in the early years that she met her Husband Shaun due to a crazy circumstance. She had been cleaning a house when the dogs of the house accidently got out and took off. Shaun who was working close by and seeing that the house was left open and there was a situation happening had stood guard and ensured that no one went into the house.

Once JJ had returned with the owner of the dogs, Shaun approached her and let her know that he kept an eye on the house and made sure no went in. After a brief conversation JJ asked Shaun to go for a coffee and they have been together ever since.

Shaun and JJ dated for a year before getting married on September 22nd, 2007.

They were eager to get a family started and grow. They had a baby boy named “Brayden” in 2008. Brayden was taken back to heaven before JJ and Shaun had a chance to meet him.

They were finally blessed with a couple of girls, (The Cubs) Madison in 2009 and Taylor in 2010.

JJ was the proudest mother in the world. She had said her whole life all she wanted to be was a wife and mother. She took both roles on with a fierce passion and was so excited to show the world her family. Her cubs meant the world to her and she has passed all of her kindness, work ethic and goodness onto them. She took her marriage very seriously and always said that it was the easiest part of her life as she knew she was loved whole heartedly and she loved back whole heartedly.

JJ had the ability to walk into a room full of complete strangers and within minutes had a friend or two and was setting up coffee dates. Her smile lit up the room and her positive attitude, empathy and the ability to make people feel good was a special talent that she shared with the world all the time.

JJ you were truly a special person who touched the lives of many people and will be dearly missed….
