The Attic Insulation Installation Process

When you call us for an attic insulation project, we offer a free quotation before the technicians visit your site for installation. When our team reaches your property, they thoroughly inspect the attic and install moor vents/baffles, if required. You can trust us to build an attic crib around the hatch and insulate the attic hatch lid.

We use cellulose to insulate the attic. The installation process requires a high-powered system to blow the cellulose insulation. Our truck has a hose to blow the cellulose insulation into your attic to the required depth.

After the installation, the technicians will provide you with an attic declaration card. You do not have to worry about any mess in your house. Our team will ensure that they tidy up the place before leaving.

Why Attic Insulation Is Important

Attic insulation is vital in maintaining energy efficiency and comfort within your home. It acts as a barrier that helps regulate the temperature inside your house, preventing heat from escaping in winter and keeping cool air inside during the summer. Here are the main reasons why attic insulation is essential:  - Energy efficiency: Without proper insulation, heat can escape through the attic, forcing your heating system to work harder during colder months. This results in higher energy bills. Well-insulated attics reduce energy consumption, keeping your home comfortable while lowering heating and cooling costs.  - Enhanced comfort: Insulating your attic helps keep your home at a consistent temperature, preventing drafts and cold spots in the winter. It also helps to maintain a cooler indoor temperature during hot summer months, contributing to a more comfortable living environment year-round.  - Protection from moisture and mould: Proper attic insulation, when combined with good ventilation, helps to control moisture levels in the attic. This reduces the risk of mould and mildew growth damaging your home and negatively impacting indoor air quality.   - Extended lifespan of HVAC systems: Insulation reduces the strain on your heating and cooling systems, helping them operate more efficiently. This can extend the lifespan of these systems and reduce the need for expensive repairs or replacements.  - Environmental impact: Insulating your attic reduces your home's overall energy consumption. This lowers your carbon footprint by reducing the energy needed for heating and cooling, contributing to a more sustainable living environment.

Understanding Attic Insulation

Installing cellulose insulation in your attic is not enough to make your home comfortable. Taking care of the ventilation is equally important. You can rely on our team to assess the ventilation of your attic and suggest effective changes. There are a few other things that you should consider before installing insulation in your attic:  - Cribs: Good quality solid hardwood cribs are required to keep the insulation intact. The cribs act as a barrier to prevent the insulation from escaping through the attic hatch.    - Vents: For proper air ventilation, it is recommended that 50 percent of the ventilation area be continuous soffit vents, and the other 50 percent should consist of roof vents. These vents support insulation by preventing heat escape in the cold months and cool air in the warm months. Moor or baffle vents are installed to prevent blockages.

How Does New Construction Attic Insulation Help?

The major heat loss from your house in the winter months is through your attic. As warm air rises, an improperly insulated attic provides it with the right medium to escape. To keep your house warm during the harsh winter months, it is essential to keep your attic insulated. We bring a truck filled with loose cellulose to insulate the attic on your property. A hose is connected to the truck through which the cellulose is drawn to prepare a layer of perfect insulation. This prevents heat from escaping during winter and cool air escaping your living spaces in the summer. It is better to evaluate all pros and cons of the products before making a decision. We help you with anything that you need to make your home comfortable.
