What Are the Requirements to Hire a Caregiver?

  • Proof of Financial Ability 

  • Proof of Individual Requiring Care, i.e. Long-form birth certificate, Passport 

What Are the Procedures?

  • Assess the employers’ eligibility requirements 

  • Assess the applicants’ eligibility requirements 

How Long Does the Process Take to Hire a Caregiver?

  • Processing time inside Canada, between 5-6 months

  • Processing time outside Canada, 12-24 months

What Are the Requirements for Caregiver Applicants?

  • Proficiency in English or French 

  • Canadian High School Education Credential (or an equivalent Foreign Credentials) 

  • Must have recent and relevant work experience
